Knives!

After a week of safety training we finally get to open our knife kit! Super excited!!! I will post a photo of the total kit soon, I definitely want to make some additions.

Who is the Mountain Chef

My name is Benjamin Faurer. I'm a Colorado native, born in the mountains and raised all over the Front Range. I absolutely love cooking, and most definitely eating! I've cooked for friends and family most of my life, just now realized I should be doing it every day.

I got into culinary arts very young, one of my grandmothers is from Denmark and is an extremely talented cook. We always used to call her a Chef when we were young. Learning how to cook her meals from Denmark, China, and even Indonesia definitely kindled a love of food from the first time I could see over the counter.

I can't wait to learn as much as possible from the wonderful Chefs at Escoffier Culinary Arts Boulder, and begin a great journey to the top of this profession. One of my main future goals is to be featured on Netflix's Chef's Table. I really hope you enjoy this journey through my kitchen...
